A winter trip to Cyclops’ Eye outside Tirana
Traveling from Tirana to the Cyclops’ Eye takes about 40 minutes by car to the center of Krraba. Then, walking continues along the path to the Murdhar Gorge in the northeastern direction of Krraba. The route to the Cycle Eye is about 4 km and lasts no more than 1 hour and 15 minutes, with a break of about 10 minutes.
This trail has some stunning views of the Erzen River, which flows like a small cataract and passes through the forest and many rock formations. A beauty that you get the chance to see in wintertime.
Exploration in winter is extraordinary because you can have this natural gem all by yourself. The frosts during the path aren’t a big deal, and the chances of slipping are too small.
