The city of Durrës, nowadays, lies precisely on the ancient ruins of Epidamnus, founded around 627 BC. It is one of the most important cities in Albania and in the Adriatic area, rich in history, architecture and archaeological sites such as: the Amphitheater, the Surrounding Walls of the city, the Byzantine Forum, the Venetian Tower, the ancient Roman Baths, the Basilica of “Saint Michael” Arapaj, the Fortification of Skanderbeg at Cape Rodonit, etc.

Durrës also has an underwater treasure, which constitutes an added value for our city, values ​​​​that can further encourage the development of archaeological tourism. The city of Durrës has an area of ​​​​341.9 km2 and a coastline of 64 km. Durrës has about 20 cultural heritage monuments and 12 objects of special importance, which can be visited throughout the year by both local and foreign visitors/tourists.
