Lana River- Roland Tasho
Tirana Art Gallery is pleased to invite you to the opening of Roland Tasho’s solo exhibition on Wednesday, 20 March, at 18:00.
The River Lana, The Pyramid, and The New Bazaar area, their transformation over time, along with a selection from the rare archive of photos of the photographer- photo reporter Roland Tasho, before and after Albania’s political transition period, are the focus of this photographic exhibition organized by the Tirana Art Gallery.
Roland Tasho described his life as a beautiful photo and worked diligently to construct its colors over the years. He is not merely a photographer who captures moments; with a 40-year career, photography is his life.
The year 1982 marked the beginning of his career as a photographer in the laboratory of the Municipal Enterprise, where he worked for five years. Furthermore, from 1987 to 1992, he contributed as a photojournalist to one of the most essential propaganda magazines of the time- “Ylli magazine. Roland Tasho is widely known for his photographs of the December protest and socio-political changes in Albania in the early 90s and continues.
