Ismail Kadare’s Manuscripts- exhibition
The Center for Openness and Dialogue, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Archives and the Kadare family, brings an exhibition to the Prime Minister’s Library showcasing manuscripts of Ismail Kadare, the world’s most famous contemporary Albanian writer.
44,488 pages, including unpublished novels, poems, and sketches that describe a life of creation from the age of 11 until the end of his life, will be on display for the public.
The exhibition, which opens on November 14, 2024, offers a rare opportunity to explore the unknown world of Kadare: the works and notes illuminating his creative process.
Each manuscript page is a journey into his thoughts and art, where each idea and reflection unfolds in new and surprising ways.
Kadare is the most excellent Albanian writer of all time, honored by prestigious international awards. Two museums are dedicated to Kadare’s life: the House of Kadare in Tirana and His House Museum in Gjirokastra.
