Explore the natural wonders and archaeological importance of the Cave of Pellumbas on a thrilling hike. The Pellumbas Cave, also known as the Black Cave, dates back to the Paleolithic period. Catch spectacular views of the Black Cave and Erzeni Canyon.

Travel from Tirana to Pellumbasi village for 35 minutes. Once at Pellumbasi, start the hike towards your destination. Enjoy the forest, the Erzen River, and Dajti Mountain from the marked trail. The hike to the cave takes about 1 hour to complete.

We step inside the Cave to start the exploration and see its unique stalagmites and stalactites with the help of torchlight.

The cave stands 350 meters above sea level and forms a tunnel 70-80 meters long. It is said to be one of the earliest prehistoric settlements in the area. After exploring the cave, head down to the village and:
Option 1: June – September: you will drive 10 min to the river to swim and refresh after the hike
Option 2: October – May: you will hike down the village to see a part of the river and canyon (Swimming is not allowed)

After that, back in Tirana.
